Canada: Country of equality

In Canada, a country where we boast equality, we have a province, Quebec, where the local provincial government officially adopted inequality. In fact, even if you are a Canadian citizen from another province in Quebec to study at one of the local English-language universities, you will pay double the tuition at a French-language university.

The Quebec provincial government says the extra money will be distributed to French language universities to help save the French language from extinction in Quebec.

This abuse of the rights of Canadian citizens is the latest addition to a series of discriminative measures that were put in place over the years in that province.

Quebecker politicians think Canadians have become accustomed to their province’s deteriorating state of citizens’ right to equality. At the end of the day, Canadians are candid souls, says the Go Daddy advertisement online!

But what is undoubtedly unique in our country is our unsinkable politicians’ attitude: Absolutely no one has made any official rebuttal of this blatant, official violation of Canadian citizens’ right to equality.

Not a beep!

It happened already when Quebec abolished English as an official legal language in their territory. By its definition, the official language of a country must have legal value on the entire national territory.

Therefore, currently, legally speaking, the only official national language we Canadians are left with is French.

There is more: Quebec has proceeded unilaterally to modify the Canadian Constitution to accommodate its official inequality.

Buy a copy of the Canadian Constitution in Quebec. You will not have the exact text you have if you buy the Canadian Constitution in. any other Canadian province.

Our unsinkable politicians have kept their mouths tightly shut on all the above-described abuses of our Constitution and constitutional rights.

As far as I know, the only denunciations of. this appalling situation we Canadians are in, came from the Media. In particular, the Globe and Mail openly denounced the last insult to our dignity.

I have no great hope of seeing even a tiny reaction from our unsinkable politicians, who are seeing the elections approaching and are, therefore, currently 100% busy verifying polls every hour. They have time for the complaints of the Canadians.

But hey, we elect them!

So, on top of the polls, they should be advised to consider we Canadians know by heart that our politicians renounced their dignity to live comfortably rich (dollars have no terrible smells) and that they think we Canadians have lost our dignity as well.

That is not the case.

They will find out soon.

WHERE ARE YOU, MORDECAI RICHLER?

Among the flood of words that our unsinkable politicians pour out daily in the parliaments or through the Media and social web, we currently listen to the declarations of Quebec’s administrators and activists.

Today, the Minister of Education of that Province, Pascale Dery, delighted us with a new letter about her initiative to increase the tuition fee for out-of-province students who enrol in“English” universities in Montreal.

Because she says they are contributing to Anglicizing Quebec, “particularly Montreal!” by speaking English.

The English universities, she added, “admitted” that these out-of-province students are also responsible for the decline of the French language.

So, she further decided that out-of-province students must learn French in English Universities.

She explained that in the four years of courses, they will be Franchised, joyously decide to remain in Quebec, and the economy will be strengthened.

French lilies will perennially blossom in the city!

Restaurants will only serve French onion soup, Bouillabaisse, Quiche St.Jack, Crème Brûlée, Coq au. Vin, Crêpes Suzette, Ratatouille!

Les jeunes in the promenades will only exchange French kisses, les amoureux in the alcovês will only make love “a la missionnaire!”

In this dull autumn, Americans have Trump, and we already have Pierre Poilevre to entertain us, but we must admit that what we currently get from Quebec is astonishingly hilarious!

I regret every day we still don’t have Mordecai Richler listening to these maniacal declarations!

He would have delighted us with his daily wits on these new levels of insanity!
